Band Absence Form

• Excused Absences: Only pre-arranged school conflicts or school-verified absences (e.g., illness, family emergency, religious holiday) are excused. Band Director discretion will apply on a case-by-case basis for special circumstances.

• Unexcused Performance Absences: Missing a performance will drop the grade for that performance by one full letter grade.

• Absence Request Procedure:

  1. Notify the Band Director in advance and submit an Band Absence Form (This is for band events only)

NOTE: Submission does not guarantee automatic approval

• 2. Provide a doctor/parent note if requested, or leave a phone message in urgent cases. The student is responsible for all follow-ups.
